Arthur K. Wheelock Jr.

Arthur K. Wheelock Jr. is Curator of Northern Baroque Paintings at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, and Professor of Art History at the University of Maryland, College Park. He received his Ph. D from Harvard University, with his dissertation on Johannes Vermeer.  Dr. Wheelock has published widely on Dutch and Flemish paintings over the course of the last 50 years, most recently the National Gallery of Art’s Online Editions’ Dutch Paintings of the Seventeenth Century.
