Billionaire Thomas Kaplan on Rembrandt, the “Unknown Dutchman” and the Exhibition at the Hermitage

On September 5th, a new exhibition opened at the Hermitage: “The Age of Rembrandt and Vermeer:Masterpieces of The Leiden Collection.” The 82 paintings by 17th century Dutch masters (including the two stars highlighted in the title) belong to American businessman Thomas Kaplan and his wife Daphne Recanati Kaplan, who have assembled their collection in just 15 years. Russian with English translation.
