Rembrandt and everyday life in 17th-century Holland

The Leiden Collection, created in 2003 by Dr. Thomas S. Kaplan and his wife, Daphne Recanati Kaplan, now ranks among the largest and most important private collections of 17th century Dutch art in the world. This show at the National Museum of China is part of the collection’s first international traveling exhibition, and it represents the most significant assemblage of Dutch Golden Age paintings ever to be displayed in China.
